First of all, I hope you feel better soon. Second of all, you need a Bedition section!! And I think we have the same definition of "dressed". I love fashion and using my wardrobe and jewelry but ever since the pandemic I think I have forgotten what my true style or aesthetic is and I'm trying to rediscover it.
Thank you! I might well write more Beditions in future - writing this one was really cathartic. 🖤
I don't think I'd perfectly hit upon my style before the pandemic, but I was on the road to finding it, and the pandemic has caused a huge rerouting. Now I feel like I'm blundering towards the right path.
I can relate to this almost two years into being mostly bedridden from a long term illness. I’ve found some very soft things to wear which is truly a spirit lifter, but as to being my personal style? Not necessarily. It’s also easy to make mistakes when shopping online through necessity and return policies vary so much. I’d definitely follow along a Beditions series with great interest. I hope that you find what you are looking for!
I agree. I like to feel the texture of clothes before I buy them - if it feels bad against my skin, I'm not going to wear it - but it's hard to do that when shopping online, which puts a lot of people at a disadvantage. I may have to write another Bedition in future, expanding on stuff like this.
Thank you, and I hope you find what you're looking for, too! 🖤
I'm looking forward to seeing you exploring loungewear more deliberately. It seems like that care and attention is what's often missing in our house clothes conversation.
And when it's only occasionally, that lack of care and attention embedded in just throwing on whatever to lay around the house for a weekend can feel liberating.
But when that same careless loungewear is our everyday reality, it starts to translate itself into feelings of not mtttering and praying nobody comes knocking.
Injecting purposeful curation and restoring care and attention will definitely help, and it's cool to watch you put your own spin on things!
I agree - throwing on loungewear used to be like that for me, too, before the pandemic and my chronic illness changed things. I hope I can make it feel more considered going forward.
